![]() I was fully prepared to buy a pair a couple of sizes larger for this pregnancy because I knew I wouldn’t be able to survive without without ’em, but I’m six weeks out from having this baby, and mine are still working for me! (And my belly is BIG.) I just wear the pants below the bump. (Most people don’t like sleeping in super fitted PJs, right?!) I’d recommend ordering your normal size so you’re comfy. I would say that they run slightly large since they’re stretchy, but I ordered my normal size (XS), and I think they’re perfect. So much cuter than I used to feel in my old field hockey t-shirt, haha. They fall really nicely! I feel cute when I wear them. The Dreamy Pajamas, on the other hand, look great straight out of the dryer. I’ve long loved the look of J.Crew’s classic “Vintage Pajamas” but they wrinkle so badly (and completely lack that cozy feeling) that I got rid of them this year. If you’re someone who needs to feel cozy no matter what time of the year yet also don’t want to overheat, these are for you! I’m not sure how they accomplish this, but they keep me warm in the winter and keep me cool in the summer. They ae stretchy, too, but they don’t stretch out or get all twisted up when I sleep. They’re so unbelievably soft and comfortable. For some reason, my old t-shirts and bottoms just didn’t do that for me! Why J.Crew Dreamy Pajamas are the BEST But it’s true!) I subconsciously start to slow down, and find myself wanting to climb under the covers, and read my one chapter. I just re-read that sentence and I sound ridiculous, haha. These days, though, I try my best to put my pajama set on around 10 p.m., and this signals “bedtime” for me. There’s just always something additional I could be doing, from work and cleaning to watching that extra TV show and chatting with my husband for another hour. I’m someone who has a hard time turning in. □) Why matching PJ sets have changed the way I approach bedtime At first, I thought to myself, “This is very much something my mother would do.” But then I realized that my mom has been right all along. I got rid of SO MUCH!) Out went the old “sleep” t-shirts and bottoms… and I kept only a couple of (matching) PJ sets. ( You can read about how cleaning out my closet went here. When Mitch and I started our KonMari challenge- which, btw, we still owe you a few posts on!–I got rid of all my “sleeping clothing” with the exception of my Dreamy Pajamas. It’s completely changed how I approach bedtime, and has truly made me happier and more relaxed. If you haven’t heard about J.Crew’s Dreamy Pajama line, you’re missing out. Due to this mechanic, the game requires you to be careful about changing the speed of your characters as you play, as their speed updates at the end of each turn depending on the skills they used and whether they moved or not. The moves are then carried out one at a time from the fastest to the slowest character. The turns are double blind at the start of each level you pick your characters and place them in one of the designated starting spots, then each player maps out their moves for the next turn. You get a chance to watch an animated playthrough of your choices before you lock into the battle phase. The gameplay has an equally impressive depth to it too. There’s a lot of customisation you can work with, switching up each class with skills that will change their range of attack, have an impact on their speed and so on – there are even extra skins available for characters which adds a nice personalisation touch. Each character has a unique skill and can pick from different skill categories for the other slots. There are 35 different classes available (although you start with only 4 and then purchase extra character slots with your winnings). Once the section is complete you unlock one or more paths to adjacent areas, and travelling through the game is quite straightforward and linear. The big focus of the game seems to lie not in the quest, but in the customisation of the team you take with you. You start each level from the section overview, which also gives you a little glimpse into the background of where you’re at. Each section has a series of levels topped off with a final boss stage (which is structurally very similar to the basic levels to be honest). ![]() The campaign mode starts off with a series of introductory tutorial levels, and once you’re finished with them (they’re non-optional I’m afraid, but thankfully fairly speedy) you’ll find yourself traversing the map, one section at a time. As you progress through the different geographical areas, you face a host of fighters, sorcerers and ne’er-do-wells, collecting gold as you beat them and pass through their levels. Set in a fantasy style world that seems to be having some nondescript fantasy land troubles, you and your merry band of characters stomp your way through the terrain, cleaning up as you go. Whichever you choose, I hope you have plenty of time on your hands. Billing itself as ‘an online SRPG with an emphasis on theorycrafting and competitive play,’ Almasy Tactics is currently available in beta with a single player campaign or online multiplayer. My favorite part of the game though is the theorycrafting! Skill choices are more similar to Pokemon than FFT each character only can choose a couple, but they all have very significant effects! Probably one of the most fun parts of the games are finding ridiculously broken combos – and there’s a ton! From instant kills to guys that simply do nothing but run around and clutter up the battlefield with traps, there’s pretty much a billion different strategies.Īlthough there’s accounts, you can play as a guest. If there’s one thing online browser games and turn-based strategy games have in common, it’s probably their function as a blackhole for spare time – both are an incredible and lengthy time sink, and Almasy Tactics is both at once. This allows for some out-plays, like predicting where an enemy will go, as well as shortening the typical game length (usually 5-15 minutes). Turns in Almasy are blind-turn, so each player sets commands for their characters, which are carried out after both players have submitted their turns. I’ve been working on it for awhile and would love feedback on my progress so far! I loved Final Fantasy Tactics and Fire Emblem when I was younger, but wasn’t so satisfied with the multiplayer – so I made this. I’m making a tactics game called Almasy Tactics. ![]() By that, I mean that my Number Pad doesn’t sit perfectly flat on the desk, and the hard plastic build quality ensures there is an ever-so-slight rattling each time you actuate a key. There is no mistaking an actuation on this little Number Pad - aside from the increased key travel, the Number Pad’s build quality ensures you can both feel and hear every key press. There are some minor differences: the Number Pad keys have slightly more travel than the built-in keyboard and, consequently, a slightly higher sounding pitch when the key actuates. The keys even have the same overall feel as the MacBook Pro keyboard. Aside from the font and the Microsoft logo on the corner of the Number Pad, I’d forgive you for thinking the Number Pad was designed specifically for these MacBook Pros. ![]() Size, Build Quality, and Typing Feelįirst, I presume it’s sheer happenstance that the Microsoft Number Pad has the same black-on-black design as the new M1 Pro/Max MacBook Pro keyboards. But it has taken some bending and twisting to make the Microsoft Number Pad to work inside macOS and a Windows 11 virtual machine. When I discovered Microsoft’s relatively new external Number Pad, I thought I might be able to morph the great built-in M1 Pro MacBook Pro keyboard with the functionality of a portable number pad that I could take anywhere.įor the most part, this is a great solution. There’s nothing really “portable” about an external keyboard (perhaps the Planck EZ qualifies due to its diminutive size, but whipping an external keyboard out of your bag, no matter the size, will draw some ire from passers by). All these are excellent options for replacing the built-in MacBook Pro keyboard.īut they can’t come with you. With a fixed - and perhaps permanently great - 2021 MacBook Pro keyboard, the search for the ultimate keyboard has probably slowed for some. ![]() An external keyboard was basically an essential, so the search had to begin. This was probably worse when the MacBook Pro had such a crummy keyboard. If you have less than 3 cards in a given suit, it may be wise to pass all of them.Passing the Queen of Spades to your right is pretty safe, but be careful passing the Queen of Spades to your left. But only if you have 3 or more Spades in your hand. If you have the Queen of Spades, you may want to keep it.You normally want to pass your high cards, Aces, Kings and Queens. We've summed up the most important strategic points below, but if you really want to improve your game, we suggest reading through our Hearts strategy guide as well. The second is to carefully choose which cards to play in tricks to prevent taking penalty points. The first one is to try to pass undesirable cards so you won't be stuck with them. There are two main goals when it comes to playing Hearts strategically. The player with the lowest score when the game ends wins. When a player reaches 100 points, the game ends. When a Hearts card or Queen of Spades is first played, it's known as "Breaking hearts", and after that, Hearts can be led. Players must follow suit, but if they can't, they can play any card. The objective of the game is to avoid taking point cards, where a suit of Hearts card is worth 1 point, and the Queen of Spades is worth 13 points.Īt the start of the game, each player is dealt 13 cards, and on each round, players pass 3 cards to another player. The player with the lowest score wins the game. Hearts is a trick-avoidance game played by 4 players. It even includes an interactive tutorial that'll take you through a game of Hearts while explaining the rules to you. If you haven't played the game before, we suggest having a look at our thorough guide on how to play Hearts. If you're in need of a refresher on the rules of Hearts, we've summed them up below. Because of this, it's known as a game of evasion. However, unlike Spades, the game's objective is to take as fewest tricks as possible and avoid scoring points. Her car is a newer Civic, and Hondas are supposed to have Honda Genuine Blue, So. I’m going to get some of the orange, especially after reading the overwhelming number of similar horror stories here. I came here because I thought there was a compatibility concern between the two formulations, and I have a jug o’ green while I got a well-lighted look a little while ago to see orange in her reservoir. Evil morons.Īnyway, I work on my own car, which is an older Honda Civic. There was no radiator issue prior to this, but now there’s a leak after it sustained a significant impact, and the rival insurance company’s adjuster insists that the damage wasn’t at all related to this debacle. Let’s forget that she wasn’t even moving. Long story, but her life’s gone to shit, she’s had cancer three times, and she’s being told that the accident she was involved in - stationary, had an 80-year-old retard back out of a parking space, pause, then rip two car lengths backwards into her front end because he didn’t realize that he was still in reverse - is 85% her fault. I came here specifically to check on this issue before adding to my neighbor’s coolant reservoir. I figured it had been flushed basically from the water I put in it. I got home, my FIL who informed to get orange stated it was green and I did not need to put green in it. Now I have had a new water pump put in, and I went to the store to purchase coolant, and the gut said the colors didn’t make a difference, but told me the one I was purchasing was orange. Prior to this issue it had orange coolant in it, but again I began putting water in it for about two weeks that leaked right out. Since it became to leak daily, sometimes twice a day, I began putting water in it, because I couldn’t afford to continue adding coolant and it leak out. Reason I ask, I have a Jeep GC Leredo (horrible car, I would only recommend to those big trucks that crush cars) and the water pump was going bad, and the coolant was leaking, and I had to wait about a two weeks to have it repaired. When you state it is bad to mix them, do you mean mix as in “I have a container of orange, and a container of green, and I mix them together and put them in the vehicle?” Or “The vehicle has orange in it, but I bought more and it was green, and I added it in.” Posted in : Coolant, Cooling System Tagged : coolant dexcool green coolant mixing coolant orange coolant It is better to take care of the problem before it gets much worse. Failure to perform this flushing can, and often does, lead to engine failure and costly repairs. This is the only way to be sure that the system is clean and not at risk. If mixing happens, it is best to have the entire system flushed before driving the vehicle. The engine itself will encounter major damage.Īs you can see, mixing the two is not a good idea. In severe cases, head gaskets can blow, and heads may warp. The water pump may overheat and stop working. As the coolant stops flowing, other problems can occur as well such as happens with radiators, water jackets, and even heater cores. When mixed together they can form a thick, jelly-like substance that can completely stop all coolant flow which can lead to overheating. The two coolants should never be mixed together as they do not react well. This is a mistake and can lead to expensive repairs. Some people believe that they can mix the two. OAT coolants use organic acids in order to prevent corrosion. These were created for newer vehicles that had more nylon and aluminum parts in them. The orange coolants are organic acid technologies (OAT). There are some IAT coolants that use propylene glycol instead of ethylene glycol. This helps to protect the metals that are in the vehicle’s cooling systems from becoming corroded. With this type of coolant, phosphates along with silicates are added to ethylene glycol. The green coolant is an inorganic additive technology (IAT). ![]() Today, there are two: The green coolant and the orange colored coolant, which is also known as Dexcool. In the past, there was only one kind of coolant (anti-freeze) and that was the green liquid. Soundproofing an Existing WallĬreating soundproof walls is most effective when done during construction, but there are several ways to put a damper on ambient and active noise after the fact to make a soundproof room. Here’s how to soundproof a bedroom or other room to create a tranquil space without distracting noises. For example, if an attached garage that’s used as a workshop shares a common wall with the master bedroom, use soundproofing techniques on both the garage wall and the inside of the master bedroom wall for the best results. Where possible, use the wall soundproofing techniques in the adjacent rooms as well as the one in which you’re looking to reduce the noise level. ![]() These techniques can be used for any type of room: a home office, nursery, family room, or soundproof bedroom. Still, by employing the following methods, a homeowner (or even a renter in the case of the second method) can lower annoying and distracting sounds to a bearable level.
